• A little thinking about my music taste currently
I love this little esoteric page, because I get to talk about things I care about, and people who read want to read about my thoughts. It's awesome because everyone get's to move at their own pace. Frank Ocean is really getting to me these days. Sadness, Nostalgia, or just some other feelings that take me out of this Luke-warmness. Dear April, Nikes, Diary are my current favourites. I wanted to write a whole review of the album Blonde, but lowkey feel like his whole discography has been fully fleshed out by other random ass niggas already, so it would be pretty unrewarding to me I think. I've been listening to a little bit of Vegyn lately, because bro's production is really nice. I honestly thing he would be in my top 5 just because of how polished and distinct his sound is. You can tell that his production is ALL over Blonde based off of his original songs and stuff. I love music that actually makes me introspective, subverts my expectations and properly conducts emotion like tool. It's crazy how over-saturated the industry is with shit that doesn't care about our ears, just the money or the clout, so many insecure niggas nowadays. Not that being insecure is an objectively bad thing-you can't really control it unless you work hard, I'm still really insecure. But I also think that I am allowed to have my opinion on music that doesn't move me at all. Gunnr's music is sonically pleasing a little? But there is really no soul in it. Actually, this writing is reminding me of the bullshit being made with A.I I disagree with the use of A.I in it's entirety. Niggas all make excuses. If you use A.I prompting to "make music" you aren't a musician, you aren't an artists, and you're a disgrace to creation. You are a programmer, and even that is too much. Make real music, there's millions of resources out there. There's no excuses. Now for those of you who make real art, I love you. Asked my mum to get poptarts next time she goes shopping. :P
